On Saturday evening, the Cardinals defeated the Lawrence North Wildcats 2-1 to win their first Regional Championship in school history. After a very evenly matched first half, the score was tied at 0-0. In the 52nd minute of play, the Cardinals connected with the back of the net to take the early lead - which was quickly answered by LN just seconds later. The game went to overtime - where in the 3rd minute of the first overtime period, the Cardinals scored the game winning goal. The Cardinals will take on the Bloomington South Panthers in the 3a South Semi-State Championship on Saturday, October 26. Game time is set for 6:00pm at Martinsville High School.
