Last night the Southport Varsity boy track and field athletes that advanced out of Sectionals competed in the most competitive Regional in Indiana. Three of them advanced to the State Finals being held on June 6th at North Central High School. Braylon Koenig matched his personal record of 6' 6" in the high jump to earn a Regional Champion title. Ben Brown finished 2nd in the shot put and 3rd in the discus in order to advance. Tynell Tyler finished 5th in the 110 high hurdles, but was able to run the auto-qualifying standard (like I said the most competitive Regional in the state... where 5th place is an auto-standard). Congratulations! Overall the team finished 6th overall and other scoring efforts included... Ricky Sanders - 7th in pole vault Presley Airhiagbonkpa - 8th in high jump
